Be in the Procession

Travelling to Ringwood couldn’t be easier!  Ringwood is located approximately 10 miles from Bournemouth, 15 miles from Salisbury and 20 miles from Southampton. Located just off the main A31 and A338 trunk roads, travelling by car is quick and convenient.   We have plenty of parking – so come and visit us!

Travel by Bus:

Travel by bus is also easy; Wilts and Dorset Buses provide regular services to and from Ringwood throughout the day and night. It’s service as normal on Carnival day, with temporary buys stops your travel to Ringwood is unaffected! For more information on bus timetables, please click here for updated information. 

Parking:

There are plenty of car parks in and around Ringwood for you to use on Carnival day (including disabled bays).  There are both short and long stay parking areas, some of which are free to use!  Please see below our illustrated map of Ringwood showing key locations, however, for more specific information on all car parks please, please visit the Ringwood Town Council website or click here.

Road Closures:

Road closures take place during both the afternoon and evening processions; these closures are clearly marked by road signs displayed during the week before Carnival. Please see the illustrated map below for road closure locations.  Road closures times are as follows:

Afternoon procession: Road closure at 1:30pm, reopens again at 4:30pm.

Evening procession: Roads closure at 6:30pm, reopens again at 9:30pm.

Please see below our illustrated map of Ringwood showing our wonderful procession route as well as other key locations in the town!  The times of our processions are as follows:

Afternoon procession: 2pm.

Afternoon Assembly: 1pm (latest) with judging 12:30pm – 1:30pm. 

Evening procession: 7:15pm.

Parkside Evening Assembly: 6pm (latest) with judging 5:45pm – 6:45pm.
