The Ringwood Carnival Society would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who took part in our processions and for making 2024 such a fantastic success! We saw some amazing floats and entries- our judges found it a difficult task to select the winners! Those entries who did win were awarded a cash donation for their chosen charity, school, registered club or society.  Their donations were as follows:

Thank you to the general public for generously donating all the pennies in our collection buckets (carried by all those who took part in the processions) in 2023. We have now counted all these pennies and in accordance with the Carnival Constitution, the Trustees have now reviewed all applications made and donated funds to the following local charities, organisations and good causes:

What’s the donation process?

In accordance with the Carnival’s Constitution; once all the pennies from the Carnival procession penny pots along with other kind donations have been collected and counted, the grand total is formally submitted to the Ringwood Carnival Society’s Accountant.  Once the accounts have been verified, the official surplus figure of funds is submitted to the Ringwood Carnival Executive Committee.  This committee reviews all donation requests submitted throughout the year, and make their final selections from a short list towards the end of the calendar year in readiness to formally donate.

The pennies collected during our processions are for the Ringwood Carnival Society and not to be kept by the procession entries themselves.
