2024 CARNIVAL DAY DEEMED THE BEST IN YEARS!
What a Carnival it was this year – a mini heatwave in September and streets packed with people in our market town of Ringwood for a whole festival of fun!
Our 2pm afternoon procession smashed records with a number of procession entries that exceeded 50! 2024 saw the launch of Carnival Unplugged; a whole host of musical acts performing in various venues across the town throughout the days. It was the fifth year of Live of the Lawn at Greyfriars Community Centre, a music stage, BBQ, Carnival Bar, face painters and more and was a huge success. There was of course the huge Adlam’s funfair on Bickerley Green, along with the Ringwood Carnival Village Green, consisting of craft stalls, charities, food and drink vendors, with live acts from BMX tricks and stunts to wow the crowds.
With street acts, fire performers and even live Transformers Bumblebee and Megatron, it was an all day festival!

THE LONG AWAITED 2024 CARNIVAL PROGRAMME IS READY FOR DOWNLOAD!
The mega 55-page Carnival programme for 2024 is now live and ready to download. Simply go to our dedicated webpage, click on ‘What’s On’ and download it to your device. Everything throughout the day is featured, while a quick snapshot timetable can be found at the front. There is so much to do and see throughout the day, it’s certainly going to be a day unlike no other!

CARNIVAL RECEIVED RINGWOOD TOWN COUNCIL COMMUNITY AWARD
We were truly TAKEN ABACK to have been presented an “Outstanding Community AWARD” by Ringwood Town Council at the Annual Town Assembly at The Gateway. This was totally unexpected and something that we shall treasure and forever be very thankful for. We certainly could not put on Ringwood Carnival if weren’t for the support they provide us in the background.
Just to recap; OUR AIM is to organise and host the best possible community Carnival we can, on the budget we have available. We want RINGWOOD TOWN to be proud of this historic event. You can rest assured, we will always be working our socks to do this!

FRAMPTONS TO BE CARNIVAL HEADLINE SPONSOR FOR CARNIVAL 2024!
The Ringwood Carnival team are delighted to confirm that Framptons Bar will continue be the headline sponsor for Carnival 2024! This is the third year Framptons will be headline sponsor of the event. Ben Salsbury, Chairman of Carnival said: “To be linked with such an institutional name to Ringwood going back several hundred years is just brilliant. The support the Framptons teams give us – not only financially but in other ways too behind the scenes, is invaluable – thank you Framptons! One of the aspects that the Carnival Committee feel important is sponsorship of our event should be available for any budget. We have set our entry bronze package so it is affordable for any business. Carnival is for everyone & anyone.“

Carnival gets SHORTLISTED for no less than THREE categories at the NOEA (National Outdoor Events Association) Awards 2023. the categories were:
- Best Accessibility and Inclusion Initiative;
- Best Events Team;
- Regional Event of the Year Award.
‘Event of the Year Award’ was won by Eurovision 2023 (Public Sector’); ‘Best Event Team’ won by CarFest … so we were well and truly against some big professional outfits. Unfortunately, we did not win anything, however it dawned on US; “WE ARE VOLUNTEERS!” (and we’ve manage to get to the NOEA FINALS!) WELL – although not winning a prize, just being shortlisted was a true honour.

THE ‘RED’ VISIT RINGWOOD CARNIVAL 2023!
RINGWOOD will never forget CARNIVAl 2023, as the RED ARROWS performed an official fly-by over Ringwood!
A rare sighting of TEN arrows flew over Ringwood Carnival at exactly 13:27 on Carnival day (14th September 2023), making it the first time that the town had seen ‘THE REDS’ make an appearance. This unique experience, with a record number of entries in the afternoon procession, bikes jumping over cars, BMX stunt riders, packed Funfair & Village Green stalls, live music across town, fire perfomers, Bumblebee transformer, Ringwood Carnival 2023 was very special indeed.
